Raising Awareness of the Forgotten Wappinger Hamlet

Historic Swartwoutville

    Mission Statement:

Historic Swartwoutville is a historic community based group (founded and Chaired by Joey Cavaccini) which focuses on the Forgotten Wappinger Hamlet of Swartwoutville by raising awareness of the hamlet, which was a very important meeting place for generals during the Revolutionary War and is one of the most historically important places in the town of Wappinger. Historic Swartwoutville will also place signs at the entrances of the hamlet and recognize and save historic buildings and sites throughout the hamlet of Swartwoutville, Wappinger, N.Y.

On April 9th, 2012, Cavaccini went before the town board of the Town of Wappinger and endorsed the concept of me raising money for signs to be placed at all 6 entrances of Swartwoutvlle.
